Beth Morrison, Director
Beth is the Director of Wellness and Health Promotion Services, and the program coordinator for the campus suicide prevention program, “Salukis on Your Side.” Beth is an SIUC Alum and has a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology. Beth was born and raised in Chicago and considers herself a true Cubs fan. Beth believes that self-care is key to student success and you can find her all over campus giving presentations on Resilience, stress management, suicide prevention and sleep.

Rebecca Gonnering, Confidential Advisor (Victim’s Advocacy Specialist)
Rebecca joined the Wellness & Health Promotion Services team as a Confidential Advisor (Victim’s Advocacy Specialist) in August of 2016. Her graduate work was in Gender and Women’s Studies, with a focus on improving survivor support services. Prior to coming to SIU, she worked with a non-profit organization providing advocacy services to sexual and domestic violence survivors. Her current duties focus on providing confidential victim advocacy services to SIU students, sexual violence prevention trainings, and sexual health education.
Julie Robertson-Brooks, Wellness Coordinator
Julie began working in Wellness and Health Promotion Services in February of 2018. She currently works as a Wellness Coordinator, overseeing programs like the Saluki Peer Education program. Julie is an SIUC Alumni, graduating with her Bachelor’s degree in Public Health in May 2017. She originally grew up near Carbondale and enjoys the hidden treasures of Southern Illinois, as well as the interesting people she has the pleasure of meeting from the University.
Alex Grabowska, Wellness Coordinator
Alex joined the Wellness team in the fall of 2019. He has a bachelor's degree in Spanish and Anthropology from Minnesota State University, and a master’s degree in Student Affairs and Counseling from Clemson University. He has worked on university campuses in several areas, including housing, sustainability education, and leadership development. Originally from Minnesota, Alex and his wife, Elise, have enjoyed immersing themselves in the Southern Illinois Region. Currently, Alex works with Alcohol and other Drug Education and strives to ensure that students have all the resources they need in order to be the individuals they strive to be.
Kelsey Tuthill, Wellness Coordinator
Kelsey joined the Wellness and Health Promotion Services team as a Program Assistant in December of 2019. Kelsey has a bachelor's degree in exercise science from SIUC and a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in health management from SEMO. Prior to coming to SIU, she worked with organizations to provide personal training and nutrition coaching. Kelsey grew up near Carbondale and enjoys all the local hidden gems of Southern Illinois from the hiking trails to small businesses. Kelsey is excited in her new role as Wellness Coordinator and is looking forward to providing education and resources to empower students and make Carbondale feel like the home it's been to her.
